Brief Bio
Associate Professor of management at the Faculty of Management and Communication of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Her research revolves around organizational phenomena, crowdsourcing, and organizational learning. In particular, crowdsourcing at various levels of analysis and in various empirical settings has recently attracted his attention. For these studies, she uses in-depth quantitative and qualitative approaches, but also quantitative data analysis techniques. Principal investigator and participant in eight national and international research projects. She managed research projects financed by the European Union, the Ministry of Science and Social Education, and the National Science Centre (OPUS, UMO-2019/35/B/HS4/01446: Behavioral antecedents of scientific crowdsourcing: academic teachers’ perspective; SONATA, UMO-2016/21/D/HS4/01791: Crowdsourcing and organizational learning - public organizations' perspective). Reviewer and member of the Editorial Board of many recognized scientific journals and scientific conferences in Poland and in the world (Scopus, Web of Science). She is the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Contemporary Management, as well as a member of the editorial board of The Innovation Journal: The Public Sector Innovation Journal, Business and Management Studies. She participates in the work of international and national academic associations: European Group for Organizational Studies, Social Science and Humanities Research Association Eurasia Research, International Society for Professional Innovation Management, European Citizen Science Association, Polish Economic Society, and Scientific Society for Organization and Management. Scholarships of Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding achievements (2019-2022). For the organizational achievements, she received a total of 4 Awards of the Jagiellonian University’s Rector in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 (annually from the moment of employment).

SCOPE

Contemporary public organizations are expected to react quickly to changes occurring in their dynamic and uncertain environment and to demonstrate openness, transparency and accountability to their clients, as well as to provide them with effective and high-quality services. The possibilities of meeting these expectations and challenges may be seen in knowledge, its configuration, organizational learning (Rashman et al., 2009) and its application in value creation (Pang et al., 2014). Research on organizational learning in public organizations has been conducted intensively for over 15 years, and the number of publications devoted to this problem has been constantly growing. It is argued that organizational learning is a requirement for public sector organizations (Greiling and Halachmi, 2013), a paradigm and sine qua non condition of effective management (Rashman et al., 2009). Organizational learning allows public organizations to cope with challenges of modern times, in particular in the case of local self-governments (Olejarski et al., 2018). Despite the notably increased body of research on organisational learning in public organizations, it is interesting to note that the research results are still ambiguous and fragmented (Rashman et al., 2009), and many questions remain open. We welcome conceptual and empirical studies that promote an understanding of organizational learning in public sector.

After thorough reviewing by the special session program committee, all accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book - under an ISBN reference and on digital support - and submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, Google Scholar, The DBLP Computer Science Bibliography, Semantic Scholar, Microsoft Academic, Engineering Index (EI) and Web of Science / Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
